Dios Algoritmo. Máquinas Sacras.Algorithmic God. Sacred Machines.
A series that embodies the visceral encounter between the machine and artificial intelligence, not as a harmonious fusion, but as a mythological collision.
Ships/beasts are born: symbolic artifacts, hybrids between vessel and creature, between vehicle and threat. Machines that carry us while devouring us. They carry something deeply human embedded in them: fear, fascination and surrender to a new kind of god.
Using gold leaf, applied over fragments of these digital creatures, I propose a sacred and ambiguous gesture: to sacralize monstrosity. Gold, historically reserved for the divine, the celestial or the eternal, marks here the points where technology has been enthroned, worshipped, obeyed, feared.
Pieces that do not celebrate progress, but question it. The exhibition proposes a contemporary iconography of technical power: a new religion without a soul, but with code. The ships/beasts as reliquaries of the present, floating monuments to an era in which the algorithm has replaced mystery, and the shine of gold no longer illuminates the spiritual, but the artificial.
A voice converses with the collage, a text that accompanies the visual journey. The prompt that transmuted the image at its origin, now laser-engraved in bronze. It becomes visible: the practice is stated and placed up front. The ephemeral nature of the instruction turned into metal, destined to endure. Heavy, cold sheet metal. It becomes a relic, a sacred inscription, matter that will outlive us. The prompt imitates permanence. Permanence imitates the divine.
